VISION
The Fitness, Sports and Recreation Center envisions to promote well being and physical fitness among students, faculty and personnel; and to inculcate sportsmanship and camaraderie on and off campus.
MISSION
To carry out its vision, the Office offers equal opportunities to students, faculty and personnel to engage in fitness, sports and recreation programs and activities, thus, realizing the sound value of "Fitness for All".
GOALS
Guided by its vision and mission, the office aims to:

Provide programs and activities consistent with the fitness, sports and recreational aspirations of students, faculty and personnel;

Contribute to the well-being and physical fitness of students, faculty and personnel through innovative programs and activities, and optimum utilization of University facilities; and
-
Provide excellent sports development programs and training for student-athletes to be nationally and internationally competitive.
OFFICE DESCRIPTION
I. Purpose
The Office serves as the center for fitness, sports and recreational activities of the University, thereby, promoting well-being, physical fitness, sportsmanship and camaraderie among members of the academic community.
II. Responsibility
The Office is responsible in:

Providing fitness, sports and recreational programs for students, faculty and personnel;

Determining fitness, sports and recreational aspirations and needs of students, faculty and personnel;
-
Developing strategies that would create opportunities for fitness, sports, recreation and other morale-boosting activities towards a new Recreational Environment; and developing competitive athletes.
III. Authority
-
Supervises and manages fitness, sports and recreation activities including physical education classes under the FSRC program;

Recruits and selects athletes and coaches for the different University teams; and
-
Controls and manages schedule of activities and the use of sports facilities and equipment.
IV. Inter-relationships and Intra-relationships

Coordinate closely with the different colleges, and units of the University for the efficient and effective delivery of fitness, sports and recreation activities.

Coordinate with government and non-government agencies and/or institutions with matters relating to the successful operations of the Unit.
V. Standards
-
Well-participated programs and activities consistent with the fitness, sports and recreational aspirations of the academic community resulting to well-being and physical fitness;

Competent and well trained coaches and staff responsible in providing excellent sports development programs and trainings for student-athletes; and
-
Championship-caliber athletes adequately trained and developed for national competitions.
