Mission

To realize its vision, the College is committed to the development of quality nursing practice dedicated towards disease prevention, health promotion, curative activities and rehabilitation.

Goals;

Guided by its vision and mission, the College aims to:

  • Develop a sensitive awareness and understanding of physical, social, economic, cultural, and spiritual problems of society;
  • Acquire the necessary knowledge, skills, and attitudes for the improvement of health and promotion of quality of life;
  • Adopt a research oriented attitude through the use of the nursing process utilizing research findings for the improvement of health services;
  • Imbibe spiritual and ethical values in the provision of quality patient care; and

The College of Nursing maintains the following laboratories:


1. Nursing Arts Laboratory

The four air-conditioned Nursing Arts Laboratories are equipped with facilities used for the demonstration of basic nursing procedures, the specific goal of which is to meet the learning needs of the students through their Related Learning Experience. Equipment and supplies reinforce classroom discussions on the concept of man, family, health, nursing process and therapeutics.


The NALs are utilized for both lecture and demonstration purposes and can accommodate as many as sixty (60) students. Each laboratory has an amphitheater set-up to facilitate viewing of demonstration procedures. Adjacent to them is a hospital simulation room complete with hospital beds, operating room, delivery room, nursery and emergency room.


2. Nutrition Laboratories

The Nutrition Laboratories are practice areas for the Level II nursing students.

Each laboratory is utilized for both lecture and demonstration purposes and can accommodate as many as fifty (50) students.  

Each lab has three (3) areas utilized for working, storage and dining.  


Working area - intended for cooking; equipped with a sink and faucet.
Storage area -holds a refrigerator and cabinets for dinner wares and other utensils.
Dining area – consists of a dining table (1 x 22m) and ten (10) dining chairs.


3. Anatomy and Physiology Rooms

The fully air-conditioned Anatomy and Physiology Rooms are used for lecture and demonstration purposes. Each laboratory houses different human anatomy models such as the skeletal and muscular systems, and different human organs. They can accommodate 50 students at any given time.
