AUF Integrated School

Vision

Born from the Heart of the Church, the Integrated School envisions to emerge as an exemplar school, promoting excellence in curriculum and instruction, community empowerment, and research and innovation for the protection and advancement of human dignity.

Mission

Guided by the University mission of “total development of man for God and humanity,” the Integrated School is committed to providing quality basic education as a way of becoming an evangelized and evangelizing institution towards the holistic development of the child as an agent of societal transformation. Thus, the Integrated School aims to fulfill the following objectives:

1. Provide quality basic education program inspired by the teachings of Christ, geared towards excellence in the delivery of various learning areas, thus promoting cognitive, affective and psychomotor development for the good of humanity

2. Promote research and innovation in curriculum and instruction through relevant and responsive programs in Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) and Humanities, fostering 21st century skills of communication and collaboration; critical thinking and problemsolving; coding and engineering skills and technology literacy; creativity; and lifelong learning skills.

3. Hone Catholicity and Christian values and ideals of students with peace education, global understanding, and character education through various curricular and co-curricular programs and activities, aligned with the goals of Christian Formation Education.

4. Develop responsible, law-abiding young leaders and citizens with deep love and concern for others, for the environment, the community and the country, manifested in their active involvement in community empowerment programs and advocacies.

5. Enhance the physical well-being, cultural orientation, and art appreciation of the students through various sports, recreational and cultural activities.

6. Produce graduates imbued with the characteristics of Christ-centeredness; social and environmental responsibility; wisdom and academic excellence; commitment to lifelong learning; creative, innovative and critical thinking; and peace and global understanding.

 

Angelenean Core Values

Mabuti or Integrity of Character – “Virtus.” This core value implies courage, worth, integrity and character; to be virtuous means to be respectful, humble, kind true and honest in all aspects of one’s life. Inspired by theological virtues of faith, hope and love, including the cardinal virtues of justice, prudence, temperance and fortitude, the Angelenean is expected to manifest integrity of character, manifested as goodness in thought, speech and action.

  • Values faith, hope and love, and Christ-centeredness through respect, humility, kindness, truth and honesty in one’s thought, speech and action.
  • Manifests good manners and right conduct with deep respect and regard for others
  • Abides by the rules and regulations of the school, the community and the country with respect for ethical standards and moral values.
  • Shows love and respect for God, humanity, the country and the environment.

Magaling or Competence for Excellence – “Veritas”, literally truth. Commitment to learning and academic competence are, in essence, a search for that which is true; the school takes part in “the ardent search for truth and its unselfish transmission to youth and to all those learning to think rigorously, so as to act rightly and to serve humanity better” (Ex Corde Ecclesiae 2). Therefore, the Angelenean upholds the value of search for truth and knowledge for brilliant disposition.

  • Demonstrates wisdom and competence for academic work, and commitment to lifelong learning
  • Manifests pursuit of excellence and truth in speech and action
  • Shows adeptness in time management, leadership responsibilities, and problem-solving activities for curricular or co-curricular activities
  • Collaborates harmoniously with others as a competent member of a group
  • Seeks help or lends a helping hand in times of challenges
  • Demonstrates grit to accomplish academic tasks or life challenges
  • Accomplishes remarkable output or valuable innovative or creative work May Malasakit sa Kapwa or Charity as Mission – “Caritas”. To practice care and concern for others is to be charitable of one’s self; charity is self-giving love, the highest form of love (John 15:13); to love is to offer one’s self for others. The Angelenean aspires to practice charity.
  • Practices concern and care for others, especially the poor, the disabled and the marginalized members of the society through leadership, volunteerism, service, and acts of generosity
  • Initiates or participates in school-based, classroom-based, and community-based advocacies for cultural understanding, peace, respect for human rights and preservation of the environment.
  • Contributes time and resources for the fulfillment of the mission of the school towards community empowerment, responsible citizenship, and societal transformation
Integrated School Learning Outcomes

The Angeles University Foundation envisions its graduates to be responsible and competent citizens of the country and the world, imbued with the core values of “Mabuti, Magaling at May Malasakit sa Kapwa.” Cognizant of the Institutional Learning Outcomes of the University, the Integrated School envisions its graduates to demonstrate the following outcomes:

Christ-centeredness. This learning outcome is aligned with the core value “Mabuti”, which refers to the inner goodness and Christian values of the students.

  • Embracing Christ’s way of life through moral living and social accountability
  • Adhering to truth and Christian values amidst challenges brought about by social, political, economic and environmental crises
  • Practicing fairness, honesty and integrity in all aspects of life
  • Demonstrating positive disposition, maturity and courage, rooted in Catholic values, in the face of adversity

Social and environmental responsibility. This learning outcome refers to “values and inner goodness in action”, pertaining to the commitment of the university to promote involvement of students in community service, aligned with the core value “Malasakit sa Kapwa”. It fosters the ethical principle that an Angelenean has an obligation to act for the benefit of the community and the environment.

  • Engaging in advocacies for peace, cultural heritage and the environment
  • Demonstrating concern through active involvement in socio-civic activities
  • Practicing tolerance for differences in race, culture, and exceptionalities
  • Respecting individual dignity and human diversity

Wisdom and academic excellence. The school fosters academic excellence as part of the core value “Magaling”. This learning outcome refers to demonstrating competence and wisdom in academic or related endeavors.

  • Demonstrating competence in various disciplines and fields of study
  • Collaborating skillfully and effectively with peers, colleagues, authorities and institutions
  • Demonstrating proficiency in oral and written communication using various media
  • Manifesting wise decision-making, judgement and evaluation relevant to specific disciplines and academic endeavors

Commitment to lifelong learning. This learning outcome fosters love for learning as an aspect of the core value “Magaling.”

  • Practicing the value of further development of skills and competence in their respective fields of endeavor
  • Adapting to the demands of innovation in their fields of endeavor
  • Manifesting growth in moral, spiritual, socio-civic, and physical aspects of their lives
  • Participating in collaborative learning for continual improvement

Creative, innovative and critical thinking. As part of the core value “Magaling,” this learning outcome pertains to demonstrating skills and competence in producing creative or innovative work, using logical and critical thinking, scientific process, and competence with the use of technology.

  • Analyzing and evaluating arguments and evidence logically
  • Generating ideas, producing novel and useful works, methods, and approaches to solve problems
  • Demonstrating competence in scientific research process and the use of technology for innovation

Peace and universal understanding. Aligned with the core value of “Malasakit sa Kapwa,” this learning outcome underscores the importance of wisdom and academic excellence towards promoting peace and universal understanding. It refers to “wisdom and competence” in action as a way of showing love, concern and responsibility to peoples, communities, the environment and the world.

  • Possessing national and international perspectives towards peace and universal understanding
  • Demonstrating awareness, knowledge and skills when interacting effectively in culturally or linguistically diverse contexts
  • Advocating peace and cultural, historical, political, environmental, and technological understanding as means of responsible citizenship in the local, national, and international contexts

The AUF Integrated School is staffed with competent, qualified, committed and dedicated faculty members who are well-trained in their chosen field of study. Majority of them are Master’s Degree Holders.

This new Class-A Campus is nestled in a four-hectare property in Brgy. Marisol, Angeles City and is the new home of the AUF Integrated School. The spacious campus boasts of various academic facilities to complement AUF’s excellence in instruction:

AUF Integrated School encourages and supports the leadership training of students as part of their total development.
