Frequently Asked Questions

  • Is the Library open?

    • The University Library will remain physically closed until further notice. However, all online library services and resources are available. Library staff are working remotely to ensure continuity of library services.

  • • Email the concerned section/branch library of the items you want to borrow and wait for the acknowledgement and instructions.

    • Students can borrow a maximum of five (5) books for two (2) weeks and maximum of 10 books for (one) 1 month for the faculty members.

    • For Grade School and High School students, book requests may be picked up by their parents or older siblings.

    • They may present a screen capture of the receipt forwarded to you.

  • • Email the concerned section/branch library of the items you want to return and drop the books at the designated book drop stations provided at the AUF Main Front Gate, PS Building Lobby or Santa Barbara Campus Gate.

    • You will receive an acknowledgement receipt once the books were received by the library.

  • • Email the concerned section/branch library of the items you want to renew. Once processed, you will receive a confirmation receipt detailing your next due date from the Library.

  • • Yes, we charge Php 3.00 per day (including weekends and holidays) per overdue item. Mode of payment can be arranged through email communication.

  • • Any lost book must be reported to the Librarian immediately, otherwise fines will continue to be computed daily and added to the cost of the book.

    • A lost book may either be paid or replaced.

    • Replacement for a lost book must have the same or newer edition, or an approved equivalent.

  • • Yes, you can search for the collections in our library from home. To access the library’s online catalogclick here.

    • If you cannot find the materials you need, contact the Reference Librarian (gen.reference@auf.edu.ph) to assist you with finding similar material, or access through different libraries

  • • Thesis and dissertations are for library use only.

    • We can give a 5 days view only access to at least 10% of the material through google drive.

    • You may send a letter of request to gen.reference@auf.edu.ph .

  • • You may check the list of the available electronic databases through the Electronic Resources page of the AUF University Library course in AUF MyClass.

  • • Simply send a letter of request with complete citation (Article title / Journal title / Author / Year / Volume / Issue / Page Number) to gen.reference@auf.edu.ph. Processing time takes 1 to 2 working days.
